Eunice Chukwuma is a passionate young woman, model, and advocate dedicated to fostering positive change. She believes in leveraging her voice and platform to make a difference, no matter how small. Driven, creative, and deeply committed to causes that promote a better world, particularly in environmental sustainability, Eunice participated in the Face of Change pageant 2025, where she was crowned Miss Congeniality and also received two awards: Best Traditional Attire and We Change Initiatives. In this interview with Fourwall Magazine, she shares insights about her experiences during the pageant, her future aspirations, and much more.
How does it feel emerging Miss Congeniality at the Face of Change Nigeria?
It feels incredibly humbling and fulfilling. The Miss Congeniality title means a lot to me because it reflects my character — being approachable, kind, and uplifting to others throughout the competition.
What challenges did you face during the contest and how did you overcome them?
One of my biggest challenges was staying consistent despite the physical and emotional demands of the competition. I overcame it by staying focused on my goals, leaning on my faith, and reminding myself why I started this journey in the first place.
What stood you out from other contestants?
I believe my authenticity and genuine connection with people set me apart. I wasn’t just there to win; I was there to learn, network, and inspire. That sincerity resonated with both contestants and the judges.
What has been the most rewarding experience of your journey in pageantry so far?
The most rewarding part has been the opportunity to inspire others, especially young girls, to believe in their dreams regardless of their background or challenges.
As Miss Congeniality, what project do you intend to carry out with the crown?
My project is focused on recycling and environmental awareness. I want to educate communities on how waste can be turned into resources, create recycling hubs, and empower people—especially youths and women—with skills to earn income from upcycling.
Tell us more about the Face of Change pageant and why you chose to contest on the platform.
Face of Change is a platform that blends beauty with purpose. It’s about using your voice and influence to drive change in your community. I chose it because I wanted a stage that aligned with my values and gave me room to promote my recycling initiative.
It was truly an honor. I believe kindness and understanding are the foundations of any impactful initiative. I was thrilled to be recognized not just for my ideas, but for the way I connect with others.”
How do you intend to use your office to make an impact in your community?
I will use my office to mobilize young people, schools, and local leaders to embrace environmental responsibility. Through workshops, clean-up drives, and creative recycling campaigns, I’ll show that sustainable living is both possible and beneficial.
What are your hobbies and interests outside of pageantry?
I enjoy creative arts, volunteering, fashion styling, and learning new skills. I also love exploring cultural traditions and finding ways to blend them into modern trends.
Who are your role models and why?
My role models are women who combine beauty, intellect, and purpose — people like Agbani Darego for breaking barriers, and Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala for her resilience and global influence. They inspire me to dream boldly and work hard.
What is the most important lesson you’ve learned in your journey as a model?
I’ve learned that humility and consistency are more valuable than just talent. Your character and how you treat people will open more doors than anything else.
You won the Best Traditional Attire and We Change Initiative; what inspired your costume?
My costume was inspired by my cultural roots and the theme of transformation. I wanted it to tell a story — that beauty and tradition can coexist with innovation and change.
What advice would you give to young women who aspire to follow in your footsteps?
Believe in yourself and start with what you have. Don’t wait for perfect conditions before chasing your dreams. Every small step counts, and with persistence, your vision will come to life.
