How did your journey in pageantry begin?

My journey began with a simple desire to challenge myself and step outside my comfort zone. I was drawn to pageantry not just for the glitz, but for the platform it provides to lead, learn, and serve. My first experience sparked a fire in me to represent something bigger than myself and make a meaningful difference.

How did it feel winning Face of Nigeria 2024?

Winning Face of Nigeria 2024 was surreal. It felt like a confirmation that grace, hard work, and faith truly pay off. It was an emotional and humbling moment one I will cherish forever. It reminded me that dreams are valid, no matter where you come from.

What was the biggest challenge you faced during the contest and how did you overcome it?

The biggest challenge was staying mentally strong amidst the pressure. It’s easy to get overwhelmed by comparison and expectations, but I stayed focused by grounding myself in prayer, surrounding myself with positivity, and remembering why I started.

What would you say is your biggest achievement so far?

Aside from winning Face of Nigeria, my biggest achievement has been using my platform to start initiatives that empower young girls, especially in rural communities. Seeing their confidence grow is the most rewarding part of this journey.

What motivated you to contest in this pageant?

I was motivated by a vision to represent Nigeria with elegance, purpose, and pride. I wanted to be a voice for young women who feel unseen, and to prove that beauty and brains can work hand in hand for impact.

Has being a Queen clashed with your personality?

Not at all. Being a Queen has revealed more of who I truly am. It’s helped me grow, express myself confidently, and stand firm in my values. I’ve learned to balance grace with authenticity.

How would you rate your reign as the Face of Nigeria?

I would say it’s been purposeful and progressive. Every day of my reign has been an opportunity to serve, represent, and grow. I’ve been intentional about not just wearing the crown, but using it to build others.

How have you been using your office to make an impact in your community?

I’ve led outreach programs focused on girl-child education, menstrual hygiene awareness, and youth mentoring. I believe real impact starts at the grassroots, and I’m committed to being present where it matters most.

You recently launched your own business, tell us about it.

Yes! I recently launched BIJOUX BY MIDE, a brand that reflects my passion for empowerment and creativity. It’s centered around fashion, beauty, accessories, and it’s a platform to inspire confidence and self-expression in others.

What are your hobbies and interests outside of pageantry?

I love reading, volunteering, traveling, and engaging in deep conversations. I also enjoy content creation and exploring African fashion and culture.

Who are your role models and why?

I deeply admire women like Michelle Obama and Agbani Darego. They embody strength, poise, and purpose. Locally, I’m inspired by women in my community who rise above challenges daily and still show up with resilience.

After your handover, what is next for Queen Ayomide?

My journey doesn’t stop at the crown. I plan to continue advocating for youth empowerment, expand my business, and pursue further opportunities on the global stage especially in development, media, and humanitarian work.

Are we still going to see you on the pageant stage, maybe internationally?

Absolutely! I’ll be representing Nigeria at the Miss Africa Queen Pageant in 2026, and I’m excited to bring the spirit of Nigeria to an international audience. It’s a huge honor I do not take lightly.

Describe your personal style in three words.

Elegant. Bold. Timeless.

What is your favorite thing about being a beauty queen?

My favorite thing is the ability to inspire and influence change. Wearing a crown gives you access to people’s attention what you do with that attention is what defines you.
