Exclusive Interview with Beauty Queen Ezejiofor Glory: Pageantry Journey and Empowerment Thoughts

Beauty Queen, Ezejiofor Glory who hails from the eastern part of Nigeria, is a professional model, beauty queen and a fashion designer. She is a student og Alex Ekweme Federal University and currently the winner of Face of Nigeria Ebonyi 2024. In this interview with her, she talks about her journey in pageantry, and shares her thoughts on beauty, inclusivity and empowerment.

How do you feel emerging Face of Nigeria Ebonyi?

I feel blessed and excited to have won, It is indeed a beautiful experience, it’s a dream come through.

Tell us about yourself?

My name is Ezejiofor Glory Chimuanya from Enugu State, I am a 300L student of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ebonyi state, studying Criminology and security studies. I’m a fashion designing (aspiring), I love listening to music (it’s my safe haven) ,and I aspire to be an actress some day.

What were the challenges you faced during the contest and how you overcame them?

I would say Pressure. There were moments that I felt I couldn’t continue but I always remind myself that nothing good comes easy. So I had to push myself beyond my limit and understand that it is simply how growth works.

What would you say stood you out from other contestants?

My height, Charisma and Unique Personality.

How was the bonding with other contestants?

They were not just contestant to me but sisters in the pageant community.

What was your best moments during the pageant?

The Grand Finale.

What do you think the judges were looking out to select a winner?

Someone who has the well being of her people at heart and a powerful Queenly Ora, to outstandingly represent her brand anytime and anywhere in the world without two thoughts.

How long have you been in the modeling?

3 years.

What does winning this pageant mean to you?

It means that I have been giving an opportunity to express myself through every action I take within this 1 year of my reign.

Now you have been crowned, what project do you plan to carry out?

Humanitarian and Social Project and Creating Awareness on Hepatitis B.

Who is your role model?

Chidera Okah (Miss Dee).

What does this sash and crown symbolize to you?

The beginning of many more achievement.

If you were not a model, what other career would you have pursed?

Fashion designing.

Which brands are looking forward to work with?

Louis Vuitton

Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?

Building my brand LORY’S EMPIRE.

Any advice to those aspiring that to win a pageant?

Stay true to yourself, be unique and never give up, believe in your self and most important of all finish what you started.
