Born on August 19, in Ahoada East Local Government Area of Rivers State, Nigeria, Umashiida Ejikeme Igbi is a model and beauty queen whose journey reflects an evolving relationship with ambition, self-expression, and the courage to embrace new beginnings.
Raised in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Umashiida grew up in a close-knit nuclear family with five siblings. Her educational journey began in Rukpokwu, Obio-Akpor Local Government. She later attended the University of Port Harcourt, where she studied English Studies, developing an academic foundation that complements her interests in reading, writing, and creative expression. Umashiida’s interests extend beyond the runway. Drawn to Animation, fashion, beauty, art, and fitness, she appreciates the different ways people communicate identity and creativity. Her love for reading, writing, travelling, and watching movies also reflects a curiosity about the world and the many stories it holds.
A defining milestone in her journey came in 2025, when she emerged as the winner of The Miss Port Harcourt City 2025 pageant. The achievement marked an important chapter in her development as a beauty queen and created an opportunity to explore modelling, public presentation, and the broader world of fashion and beauty. For Umashiida, however, the journey is about more than a title. It is also about discovering who she is, what she values, and the kind of life she wants to build. She believes that life offers room for multiple beginnings and that starting over is not a failure, but a noble choice.
Alongside modelling and beauty, she works as a virtual assistant, a role that draws on organization, communication, and administrative support. While her professional direction continues to evolve, there is potential for her interests in digital work and the beauty industry to intersect through areas such as fashion and beauty brand support, content coordination, and digital business administration At this stage of her life, Umashiida is still discovering what she wants to be known for and the legacy she hopes to leave. Rather than forcing herself into a fixed definition, she is allowing room for experience, curiosity, and change to shape her direction.
