Queen Amarachi Kanu hails from Abia state and is the current Reigning Queen Of Face Of Local Government Nigeria Miss Culture World 2023. She is an entrepreneur, Crochet creative designer, stylist, chef and a Makeup artist. She has always been passionate about cultural heritage and community development. Her diverse talents have not only made her a prominent figure in the beauty industry but also as a role model for young women across Nigeria. In this interview, she spoke about her experiences, from the rigorous training sessions to the moments of triumph and self-discovery. How would you describe your journey since you were crowned?
My Journey so far as the reigning Face Of Local Government Nigeria Miss Culture Word 2023 has been super amazing and tough at the same time but I must say that it has given me A lot of experience and new growth and also a new responsibility.
What were the challenges you faced during the contest and how you overcame them?
Distance. Everything went well during my preparations,the voting segment went well the only issue I had was distance because basically I am not In Nigeria and I felt like I won’t even win. i was discouraged a little bit but I had to push harder, thank God I didn’t give up.
What would you say stood you out from other contestants?
My confidence, myuUnique personality and my Intelligence. The zeal I put into the competition.
How long have you been in the modeling industry?
13 years.
What motivated you to contest for this pageant?
I have always been passionate about culture, fashion, beauty and self expression.and I also have a strong desire to make a positive impact to the world, competing in this pageant gave me the opportunity to use my platform and my voice for good and also advocate for social causes.
How has winning this pageant changed your life?
Building my self confidence, my personal growth and skill development has improved and also I have gained a solid ground for my advocacy.
How were you able deal with the responsibilities that come with being a beauty queen?
Being a beauty queen comes with a lot of responsibilities,and as a QUEEN I try to make sure I create a schedule that fits in all my activities, I know the responsibilities that comes with carrying a crown and as a 5 times beauty queen I already know how to fix myself that I don’t have to deal with Much.
What are the pet project you have embarked on?
I currently have an ongoing pet project that’s coming up on the 9th of August 2024.
Has been a beauty queen clashed with your personality?
Being a beauty queen has never clashed with my personality because I am realistic and I am my own kind of beautiful.
Who is your role model?
I am my role model, I am proud of what I am doing these days every challenge reminds me that I am strong enough to overcome any obstacle. I know my purpose in life and being my own role model is one of the best ways to achieve personal growth and self improvement.
What does the sash and crown symbolize to you?
Achievement and also the sash and crown is a symbol of authority, it dedication and service to the organization that gave me the platform and to my community,state and country.
If you were not a model, what other career would you have pursued?
I am already a crochet creative fashion designer
You will be handing over soon, what’s next for you?
I will solemnly focus on my job, creative crochet designs and creativity and also I have plans of opening my brand officially.

Vogue, and am also open to work with other international Brands
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
5 years from now I will be a successful business owner of one of the biggest brands,a successful hardworking role model to the society, an ideal wife and Mum to cute beautiful kids

What advice will you give to the aspiring models that aspire to become a beauty queen?
Always be the first rate version of yourself, be confident in yourself, Never ever doubt yourself. If your mind and heart say you are ready, then go for it. Dont second guess yourself. Follow your dream, reach for the stars, aim for the crown.
