We are thrilled to announce Queen Byencit Grace Wuyep as our Model of the Month for March 2026, taking center stage as our spotlight model. In the heart of Nigeria’s Plateau State, a remarkable story of resilience, beauty, and social advocacy unfolds. Byencit Grace Wuyep, a fashion model and passionate changemaker, is not only making waves in pageantry, but also spearheading impactful initiatives that aim to empower young women and transform communities. Born on November 21st, Byencit Grace hails from Langtang North, Plateau State and is the youngest sibling of 4. A graduate of Pure Chemistry from the University of Jos, Byencit is currently pursuing a Postgraduate Diploma in Biochemistry—demonstrating her commitment to both her education and her personal growth.
Initially drawn to poetry and public speaking, Byencit never envisioned herself as a model. However, a life-changing moment in 2019 guided her toward pageantry. Encouraged by friends, she entered the Miss Unijos competition, claiming the title and igniting her passion for beauty and social advocacy. It was this newfound platform that allowed her to voice pressing issues affecting young women, particularly in her community.
Byencit founded the Unijos Queens Forum, a collective aimed at uniting campus queens to promote social change. Her initiatives focus on critical themes such as abuse awareness, self-esteem building, and hygiene promotion. Notably, she launched the “Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Campaign,” which educates young girls about menstrual health, breaking taboos and igniting important conversations in a strong attempt to fight against period poverty in her locality and beyond.
“My mother played a pivotal role in shaping my values and drive,” Byencit explains, reflecting on her late mother’s influence. This guiding principle fuels her mission to empower others. With the pain of loss etched into her heart, she channels her emotions into advocacy, determined to honor her mother’s legacy through her work.
In addition to her advocacy work, Byencit has participated in numerous contests. She reigned as Miss University of Jos (2019–2024), Miss Campus Cloud Nigeria, Maiden Edition and Most Beautiful Tarok Girl 2019, also, a Representative of North Central at the 45th Miss Nigeria and Currently Miss One Nigeria North. Her accolades extend beyond the stage—she has received multiple awards recognizing her eloquence, influence, and contributions to community development. Byencit serves as the Coordinator for the Association of Beauty Queens and Kings in Plateau State, further amplifying her influence. As an ambassador for peace and a role model for aspiring young women, she actively encourages others to pursue their dreams and make a difference in their communities.
