Queen Eva Akassimadou, originally from Aboissi, Côte d’Ivoire, is a professional model currently based in Nantes, France. She was crowned Miss Sud-Comoé 2025 and earned a spot in the Top 5 at Miss Côte d’Ivoire 2025. In addition to her modeling career, she holds a degree in Business and works as a team leader at École Terrade, a school that focuses on training for careers in beauty, aesthetics, and wellness.
In a recent interview with Fourwall Magazine, she shared her experiences during her reign as Miss Sud-Comoé, her journey in the modeling industry, and her aspirations for the future. “Being crowned Miss Sud-Comoé was a pivotal moment for me,” Queen Eva reflected. “It wasn’t just about wearing a crown; it was about representing my region and using this platform to inspire young women.”
How would you describe your reign as Miss Sud-Comoe 2025?
I would describe my reign as Miss Sud-Comoé 2025 as a meaningful and transformative journey. Being born in this region, it was especially important for me to represent it with pride, defend its values, and carry it as high as possible. It was not only an honor, but also a responsibility to inspire others, serve my community, and promote causes that matter to me. This experience helped me grow both personally and socially, and I am proud of the impact I was able to make throughout my reign.
What have been the difficult challenges you have faced as a beauty queen?
One of the most difficult challenges I have faced as a beauty queen has been adapting to a new environment while carrying important responsibilities. I was born in Côte d’Ivoire, but I left the country at the age of five and have been living in France. Coming back specifically for the competition meant reconnecting with my roots, understanding local realities, and adapting quickly to a different cultural and social context. In addition to that, I also had to face criticism about my physical appearance, especially my height. At 1m70, I was sometimes considered “too short” for the standards of beauty pageants. Hearing those comments was not always easy, and at times, it made me question my place in the competition. However, I realized that confidence and presence matter more than numbers. I chose to embrace who I am and to prove that elegance, charisma, and strength are not defined by height. Instead of letting those remarks limit me, I turned them into motivation to stand taller, not physically, but mentally and emotionally.
How is the bonding with your crown sisters?
The bonding with my crown sisters has been very positive overall. We built a good understanding between us during the competition, and there was a real sense of mutual respect and support. I believe that sometimes, any tensions people might perceive come more from fans or supporters on social media, who can create misunderstandings or spark small rivalries through comments or reactions. But between us as candidates, it was genuinely a good atmosphere. Personally, I was able to create meaningful connections with several girls, especially Fatima Koné, who is the current Miss. She was my roommate during the competition, and today we are still friends. I also remain in contact with other Misses, which shows how strong those bonds were. Overall, everything went really well, and I truly value the relationships we built along the way.
What has been the most rewarding since you were crowned?
The most rewarding part since I was crowned has first been the honor of winning and making it as far as the national stage, finishing among 30 candidates. That experience alone was incredibly fulfilling, because it showed me how far determination and hard work can take you. It was also very meaningful to prove wrong those who doubted me those who used to say, “You are beautiful, but you are too short to be a Miss or to go far in the competition.” Being able to silence those doubts, in a way, was truly empowering. But beyond that, what touched me the most was the impact I had on others. I received messages from young girls telling me that I was a role model and an inspiration to them that because of my journey, they now feel confident enough to apply, to believe in themselves, and to chase their dreams despite their insecurities, whether it’s their height or any other physical aspect. And for me, that is the most rewarding part: knowing that my story can inspire others to dare, to believe, and to live their dream.
How long have you been in the modeling?
I have been modeling since 2021 in France. I started with collaborations and small photo projects, which allowed me to gain experience and build my portfolio. At some point, I realized I needed to define the type of model I wanted to become, I chose to work more as a fitting model. This direction gave me the opportunity to join modeling agencies and work on different projects, both in my region in Nantes and also in Paris.
For the competition, I decided to put modeling on hold to fully dedicate myself to this experience. However, I definitely plan to return to it and continue growing in the industry.
How has winning this title impacted in your life?
Winning this title has had a very positive impact on my life. It has helped me gain a lot of confidence in myself and grow in maturity. It pushed me to step out of my comfort zone, to take on bigger challenges, and to no longer be afraid of trying or daring new things. I learned to believe more in my abilities and to trust myself in situations where I would have previously doubted. It has also helped me become more disciplined and more aware of my potential, both personally and professionally. Overall, this experience has truly shaped me into a stronger and more confident version of myself.
Since you were crowned, what project have you carried out?
As Miss, I have been able to have a positive impact on my community. One of the projects I am most proud of is a donation of essential goods to the orphanage in my hometown, Aboisso. This was a charitable initiative that was very close to my heart, and I was truly grateful to be able to bring it to life. I am also continuing to work on other projects, especially in the humanitarian and charitable field. It is a long process, but I am determined and I strongly believe that with hard work and dedication, I will be able to achieve even more and make a lasting impact.
Who is your role model and why?
My role models are my parents. Their strength and determination in their work have always been a great source of inspiration for me. They taught me to fight for my dreams, to work hard, and to always believe that hard work pays off. They left Côte d’Ivoire a few years ago to give us better opportunities and a brighter future. Throughout their journey, they never gave up and kept pushing forward so that we could achieve our dreams. They are true role models to me, and they inspire me every single day in everything I do.
You finished top 5 in Miss Cote d’Ivoire 2025, how did you feel about that?
I am truly happy and very grateful to have gone that far in the competition. As I mentioned before, when people don’t believe in you especially because of your height and you still manage to reach the top 5, it is a very powerful and emotional feeling. Standing there among candidates who were often taller than me made this achievement even more meaningful. It proved to me that determination, confidence, and hard work matter far more than physical standards or expectations. It was not only a personal victory, but also a moment of pride, because it showed that anything is possible when you believe in yourself and keep pushing forward.
If you were not a model, what other career would you have pursued?
If I were not a model, I would still choose a path where my voice can create impact and where I can be a source of change. I have always been passionate about using my voice for something bigger than myself. I can see myself either in a high-level leadership position within society, where I would be able to contribute to meaningful decisions and drive positive change, or in the media and television industry, where I could inspire, inform, and represent voices that are often unheard. For me, it has never been just about a career, but about purpose. Whether through leadership or media, my goal would remain the same: to inspire, to empower, and to leave a lasting impact.
What’s the plan for you this 2026?
My plan for 2026 is to truly focus on becoming a better version of myself. A year dedicated to my growth, my health, my mind, and my inner peace. It is a year where I want to turn intention into action bringing to life the projects I have been holding close to my heart, especially those that serve and inspire others.
I also want to cherish my family even more, because they are my foundation and my strength. But above all, 2026 is the year where I choose courage over fear. The year where I stop holding back, and fully step into everything I am meant to be with confidence, purpose, and gratitude.
Which brands are looking forward to working with?
I don’t have a specific brand in mind. However, I would love to collaborate with brands that celebrate and promote African culture, and especially Ivorian heritage. I am deeply passionate about working with brands that highlight our identity, our creativity, and our richness to the world. For me, it is important that these collaborations go beyond fashion or image they should tell a story, represent our roots, and bring visibility to our culture on an international stage.
Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
In the next five years, I see myself in a place of balance and fulfillment, both personally and professionally. On a personal level, I deeply hope to have built a happy and peaceful family life, surrounded by love, stability, and strong values. For me, family is the true foundation of happiness, and I want to create that same sense of support and unity that I was fortunate to grow up with. Professionally, I see myself continuing to grow, using my voice and my platform to inspire others and make a meaningful impact. But above all, in five years, I hope to be at peace with myself living a life aligned with my values, my purpose, and my happiness.
