Ray Jive Ndlela Bamala is a Zimbabwean-born, U.S.-based creative entrepreneur, international award-winning model, musician, author, and digital marketing professional recognized for merging creativity, leadership, and social impact. Armed with a Master of Science in Digital Marketing and Media from Yeshiva University, a Bachelor of Science Honors Degree in Music Business, Musicology and Technology from Midlands State University, and a Certificate in the Business of Entertainment from NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Ray is committed to driving innovation across the fashion, media, and entertainment industries.
His journey is a testament to resilience. Following the loss of the pillar of his family at the age of 11, Ray embraced responsibility at an early age and transformed life’s hardships into a foundation for growth and purpose. From humble beginnings as a street vendor to earning international recognition, his story reflects determination, perseverance, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.
His accomplishments in pageantry include being crowned Mister Businessman World 2026, Mister Glamour Zimbabwe People’s Choice 2025, and Mister Zimbabwe Prince Ambassador 2021, among other honors. Through these platforms, he has championed causes such as youth empowerment, men’s mental health, child advocacy, and the promotion of African cultural heritage on the global stage.
As an artist and creative entrepreneur, Ray uses music, writing, and public speaking to inspire hope, resilience, self-love, and personal transformation. He is set to release his debut self-help book, Creating Healthy Boundaries (Self Love), which encourages readers to build healthy relationships, develop self-worth, and embrace emotional well-being. He is also set to release his highly anticipated music album, Self Love, later this year. The album blends African musical influences with inspirational messages of healing, faith, resilience, and empowerment, reflecting his commitment to using music as a tool for positive social change.
