She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Promotion, Environmental and Safety Education from the University of Port Harcourt and has built experience as a professional fashion and runway model, professional dancer and dance instructor.
Now, with the responsibility of representing Nigeria at Miss Africa International, Rachael is preparing for an experience that demands more than elegance. I thought about the millions of young Nigerians who need to know that their lives have purpose and that no dream is ever too big to chase. This title is a powerful platform, and I am ready to use it to heal minds, ignite potential, and do our nation proud.
The new crown has opened a new chapter in your pageantry journey. How would you describe your emotions at this moment?
I am feeling a profound mix of humility, immense joy, and a burning readiness to serve. Stepping into this new chapter feels like the perfect alignment of my preparation and my passion. Looking at this crown, I don’t just see a beautiful title—I see a powerful symbol of hope and a mandate to uplift others. I am filled with absolute gratitude to everyone who believed in me, and I am stepping into this journey with an open heart, ready to give it everything I have.
You will be carrying the Nigerian flag on an international platform. What does representing Nigeria at Miss Africa International mean to you personally?
To me, carrying the Nigerian flag means embodying the unbreakable spirit, resilience, and rich diversity of our people. Personally, it is a profound honor and a sacred responsibility. Nigeria is a nation of bold dreamers and relentless achievers. Representing our country on the Miss Africa International stage means I get to show the world the true heart of Nigeria—our warmth, our intellect, and our capacity to lead with purpose. I am not just carrying a flag; I am carrying the hopes, dreams, and voices of millions of young Nigerians, and I intend to make every single one of them proud.
Beyond the glamour and recognition that comes with the title, what responsibilities do you believe come with being Miss Africa International Nigeria 2026?
Beyond the glamour, this crown is entirely about service, impact, and being a voice for the voiceless. The true responsibility of Miss Africa International Nigeria 2026 is to step into our communities and do the real work. For me, that means living out my personal mantra: purpose over popularity. My duty is to use this platform to advocate for mental well-being, help youth unlock their true potential, and inspire them to dream bigger. It means leading by example and ensuring that my reign leaves a tangible, lasting legacy long after the stage lights go down.
Now that you have been crowned, what does your preparation process for Miss Africa International look like?
My preparation process is focused heavily on substance, stamina, and strategy, driven by my mantra of purpose over popularity. First, I am deepening my advocacy work, collaborating with professionals to scale up mental health awareness and youth mentorship initiatives. Second, I am focusing on holistic wellness—mental, emotional, and physical fitness—to ensure I have the stamina required for a continental stage. Finally, I am sharpening my public speaking, international relations, and runway presentation, ensuring that when I step onto that stage, the world sees a well-rounded, impactful Nigerian ambassador who is fully equipped to bring the crown home.
Miss Africa International will bring together representatives from different African countries. How are you preparing yourself for the international stage?
My preparation for the international stage is rooted in cultural diplomacy, intellectual readiness, and true pan-African sisterhood. First, I am studying the rich histories, cultures, and current affairs of our sister nations so I can engage in meaningful, impactful dialogue. Second, I am sharpening my communication and leadership skills to effectively project my mantra of purpose over popularity on a continental scale. Finally, I am focusing on mental and emotional roundedness; I want to show up as my most authentic self, ready to collaborate, celebrate our shared African heritage, and proudly showcase the brilliant excellence of Nigeria.
As a native of Delta State, how do you plan to incorporate Nigerian culture and heritage into your representation?
Being a proud native of Delta State means creativity, boldness, and a rich heritage are in my DNA, but on that international stage, I am stepping out as a vessel for the entire nation. First, my wardrobe will be a vibrant celebration of pan-Nigerian fashion, blending traditional elements from my Delta roots with iconic textiles like Aso-Oke, Ankara, and Akwete to visually tell the story of our shared royalty. Second, I will spotlight our global cultural impact, drawing inspiration from our music, art, and storytelling to show how Nigerian creativity shapes the world. Above all, I am bringing the unbreakable Nigerian spirit of resilience and unity—proving that despite our diverse roots, we are bound by a shared heartbeat and a commitment to purpose over popularity.
What do you want the judges and audience to see in Rachael beyond physical beauty?
Beyond physical beauty, I want the judges and the audience to see a woman of profound substance, authentic empathy, and intentional leadership. I want them to look at me and see a visionary who is completely anchored in purpose over popularity. I want them to see the resilience of the Nigerian spirit in my eyes, the capacity to lead critical continental conversations in my voice, and a genuine heart for service in my actions. Physical beauty can capture attention, but it is character, intellect, and an unwavering commitment to uplifting others that creates a lasting legacy. I want them to see a queen who is ready to heal minds, activate purpose, and serve Africa with everything she has.
What do you anticipate will be your biggest challenge at Miss Africa International, and how are you preparing for it?
I anticipate that the most demanding task will be effectively compressing the vast beauty, diversity, and voice of Nigeria into a few short moments on stage—but I don’t see this as an obstacle, I see it as a thrilling responsibility. As a queen, a challenge is simply an invitation to rise. To prepare for this, I am focusing on impactful precision. I am sharpening my communication skills so that every word I speak carries weight, and every action reflects my mantra of purpose over popularity. I am diving deep into our current continental affairs and mastering my mental health advocacy. This ensures that in every single second I have on that international stage, the judges and audience don’t just see a competitor—they see the true, undeniable heart of an African leader ready to serve.
If you are crowned Miss Africa International, what would you want your reign to accomplish?
If I am blessed to be crowned Miss Africa International, I want my reign to be remembered not by the applause I received, but by the lives that were permanently shifted toward their destiny. I want my legacy to prove that when a woman chooses purpose over popularity, she can heal nations. Heartfelt impact is everything to me. I want to look back on my year and see communities where mental health stigma has been shattered because we brought conversations into the open. I want to see thousands of young Africans—who once felt unseen or hopeless—standing tall, unlocking their God-given potential, and chasing dreams they once thought were impossible. I want to be a queen who used her crown as a bridge, bringing our continent closer together through empathy, shared purpose, and a relentless belief that Africa’s youth are ready to lead the world.
